1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to AversB Carpooling Network. By registering an account, accessing our mobile app, or using our website services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern all ride listings, passenger bookings, PASS package purchases, and community interactions across Quebec.
2. Account Registration & Verification
- Users must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and participate in carpooling.
- All drivers must submit a valid Quebec driver's license and vehicle registration for manual admin verification before listing trips.
- Members agree to provide authentic, current profile information including legal name, contact email, and phone number.
3. PASS Packages & Online Booking Engine
- Seat reservations are confirmed online using AversB PASS credits purchased through secure online wallet gateways.
- Each seat reservation deducts 1 PASS credit ($1\text{ seat} = 1\text{ PASS}$) from the user's wallet balance upon booking confirmation.
- Bonus PASS credits earned through bundle purchases or institutional promotions are non-transferable and apply exclusively to platform bookings.
4. Passenger Contributions & Payment Rules
- Passengers pay their platform PASS booking fee online via AversB.
- Direct trip cost contributions are paid in person to the driver at the pickup location via Cash or Interact e-Transfer as declared in the trip listing.
- Drivers are strictly forbidden from demanding additional fees exceeding the agreed seat contribution rate published on the platform.
5. 4-Digit OTP Code Security Protocol
- Every confirmed booking generates a unique 4-digit OTP security code in the passenger's dashboard.
- Passengers must present this code to the driver upon boarding the vehicle.
- Drivers must validate the OTP code in their app before starting the journey to activate trip insurance and safety coverage.
6. Driver Responsibilities & Highway Safety
- Drivers must maintain valid vehicle insurance, active registration, and adhere to all Quebec Highway Safety Code regulations.
- Drivers are required to arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to scheduled departure time and immediately notify passengers of any delays.
- Vehicles must be clean, odorless, and equipped with functional seatbelts for every occupied seat. Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited.
7. Passenger Etiquette & Luggage Limits
- Passengers must arrive punctually at the designated pickup point. Drivers may depart 10 minutes after scheduled time if a rider is absent without notice.
- Luggage must conform to the size limit (small, medium, large) selected during booking. Oversized equipment requires advance driver approval.
- Riders must maintain courteous behavior, keep noise at a reasonable level, and wear seatbelts at all times during the journey.
8. Cancellations, Refunds & Disputes
- Cancellations submitted more than 24 hours prior to departure receive a 100% PASS credit refund to the user's wallet balance.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure are subject to standard cancellation review and policy terms.
- Disputes regarding unperformed trips or conduct violations may be submitted to AversB Support for formal administrative resolution.
